CD Release!
by David Samuel
Oct 5, 2011

Hi everyone,

I am so excited to be back on the West Coast to announce the release of the new CD "Soulcraft".

I am releasing the collection of stories October 20th in Portland Oregon at the Buffalo Gap starting @ 8:00 pm.

Address: 6835 SW Macadam Ave - Portland, OR 97219
Website: www.thebuffalogap.com

I will be sharing some background on the songs and performing live a few of the singles from the album.

I believe this album is the beginning of something new for me as I have experienced the trials of life and that is where these songs were birthed from.  Soulcraft represents where and how the songs were created along with the hopes that it will bring healing to the listeners soul in some small way.

I may not be the greatest singer/guitar player or even a songwriter but ... I feel these songs are unique and thoughtful with you in mind.  I wanted to connect on a level beyond the surface with my individual listener to make a connection with you.   I always say that the strength of an artist is his or her ability to let all of their walls down.  This vulnerability is a power source to bring healing for all those who are willing to allow the music to move through them.

Album notes:

Completely a DYI project.   All songs were recorded/engineered/mixed and mastered in David's pole-barn in a great big field hidden in the heart of the "Willamette Valley".

Being awakened by dreams/visions and full of inspiration David stumbles into his barn late at night with a flash light, stumbling along as he grabbes the book of matches to light the candles.... Ah the mood is set to begin recording this project.

Drinking many cups of coffee to get through the midnight hours and devouring pack after pack of Bubblicious by day he starts to craft the sories that are spell bounding with it all beginning with a "Beautiful Day" ending with "Odyssey" & the articulate instrumental "Andalusion Princess"

Album Description:

Rock Opera is back ... Each song is basically a chapter in a story that weaves a tale that is thought provoking and inspiring.  If you enjoyed U2's "Joshua Tree" you will most likely enjoy this CD.
